"Savi" (2024), directed by Abhinay Deo, is a jailbreak thriller set in London, featuring Divya Khossla Kumar, Harshvardhan Rane and the legendary Anil Kapoor. The story follows Savi, an ordinary woman who undertakes a daring mission to free her husband from a high-security British prison with the help of a witty ex-convict played by Anil Kapoor. The film’s visual style and London backdrops add appeal and the second half picks up with engaging twists and a tighter pace. Anil Kapoor stands out with his energetic performance, while Divya Khossla Kumar and Harshvardhan Rane deliver competent, if somewhat limited, roles. While "Savi" offers moments of suspense and drama, it struggles with a slow first half, predictable plot points and some implausible cinematic liberties. The screenplay leaves certain characters underdeveloped and relies on familiar genre clichés, which may disappoint viewers seeking depth or originality. However, the film remains a passable entertaine...

It is a fantastic movie which can be clubbed under the 'suspense thriller" genre. It is a must watch movie. 2 unique things come out a Ordinary people have no idea what are being subjected to in the performance of their daily chores of office work, travel et al. They do not know whether they are part of some large experiments. With the so called advancement of technologies, the list of types of experiments is increasing an so also is the mode of evaluation. In the craze for growing big (and rich), the already-rich can go to any extent to have their objective fulfilled. b. It also shows in a very simple manner that if the person at the top (either of a Team or an organisation) is not a good person in the eyes of the staff, they can connive to bring harm to the tormentor in a manner which cannot be imagined. The tormented souls and if there is unity among all similar tormented souls, can go to any extend to seek revenge. The influence of OTT is growing with each passing day an...

This is a legal thriller. The story starts with a seemingly-simple murder with the collision of a professor and a police officer which sees the professor being arrested. The movie takes an amazing turn when the professor comes out of the sentence and files a request for re-opening.  The grip which the director succeeds in  keeping the viewer throughout the movie is commendable. It is a must-watch and it scores 9 out of 10.

The Telgu movie stars Nagarjuna, Sonal Chauhan, Gul Panag among others. Vikram Naidu, the protagonist is a Dubai based Interpol agent having anger management issues. He manages to come to India to take care of his long-lost sister who is a business magnate. The movie revolves mostly around the protection of her daughter and familial dramas. The movie is full of bloodshed and revenge plots. Yes, we get to see an opulence of guns and artillery. But Nagarjuna's dexterity manages it all to a large extent. There are sub-plots of revenge, family drama, scion-fights; overall, it is enjoyable.   Overall rating will be 6 / 10.
